Ulasan Human beings need languages to interact and communicate each other. One of the ways to be effective and efficient in communication, they need to have the mastery of vocabularies. In almost every activity, they use vocabulary in making sentences to express their feeling, share their ideas, request what they want, etc. Without mastering sufficient vocabulary, they will experience defectiveness in communication. The vocabulary mastery will enable people to participate in many various activities in their lives. In personal, social and professional lives, they are always faced in different situations in which they need to apply varieties of the vocabulary based on the setting and the addressee. How people improve the vocabulary is obtained through the teaching and learning process. As humans, the vocabulary learning is in connection with their personal and social life; whereas as students in tertiary education, the vocabulary learning is the basis for the students to master other subjects. Having ample vocabulary mastery can support learning other materials, for instance Reading, Speaking, Writing, and Listening. When the students have to understand the text or deal with the speaking process, it cannot be separated from vocabulary. It is also applicable in learning non-English lessons, for instance the students have to learn the computer science or others in which the references are written in English.
